Description

Your flight departs from Son Bonet Aerodrome, the original International Airport at Palma, Mallorca. As we climb up and away you will have striking views of Palma City and be able to see Palma Cathedral, which at 44 m high, is the second tallest Gothic Cathedral built. There are good views of the Port too, and perhaps of the several huge cruise ships that stop at Mallorca on their Mediterranean tours. Bellver Castle is a couple of miles to the West of Palma centre. It is one of the few circular castles in Europe and now houses the city’s History Museum.

You will then fly over the Son Vida area, which is the preserve of the wealthy. Most properties here are valued in excess of 2 million Euros !

At 1000’ above ground we now turn towards the spectacular Tramuntana Mountain Range, which was declared a world heritage site in 2011 for its spectacular landscape and geography. The range extends for 90 km, covers 30% of the territory of Mallorca and has several peaks over 1000m high. On your return towards Son Bonet aerodrome we track south of the settlement of Valldemosa, the home of the composer Chopin, a fitting finale to your Mallorcan helicopter tour.
